A richly detailed scrolling arabesque pattern hand-knotted in warm brown, caramel and ivory, Arabesque draws from the classical vocabulary of Islamic geometric ornament — flowing vine forms and palmette motifs rendered knot by knot in a fine, consistent pile. The abrash-like tonal variation across the field gives it an antique, time-worn quality, as though the design has been passed down through generations of weavers.
